Welcome Wall Competition.

Thank you to the students and their families who entered our Welcome Wall competition.  We received some amazing entries and surprisingly there were some clear and common themes running through the submissions.

Many entries included rainbows and colours, indigenous animals and symbols, and students with family.  Other threads were St Raphael's logo, the word "WELCOME" and vines and/or trees. 

One entry encompassed most of these subjects and was submitted by Maya Valenzuela and her family.  

Maya's entry was well considered and embrace the rich diversity of our school.   Rich in symbolism, this submission paid its respects to our indigenous people past and present and celebrated our Catholic identity with a beautiful portrayal of Saint Raphael. 

Congratulations Maya!  We look forward to seeing this beautiful artwork come to life along Breen st in early 2018.
