Art

In Year 10 this term, Mr. MacLennan introduced portraiture to his Year 10 Art students. Students selected their own image to draw so subjects range from musicians to iconic comedians. The  medium for this task was black and white charcoal, used with varied techniques.

The black charcoal was invariably used as a base, while the white charcoal was used as a stunning highlight to emphasise the form and shape of the face.

When these images are viewed, one cannot help but be amazed by the ultra-realism of these striking and powerful portraits.
