Helipad

Helipad
On Thursday the 10th of March, all of our year 9 classes did a program called Helipad. It was a program involving drugs and alcohol and showing us what effects they have on us and the way we act, or what consequences we would have to face if we decided to make a bad decision.
We also learnt how to put someone in the recovery position if they were ever passed out or drunk to the point they couldn’t stand up. We played a game on a map, showing us what would happen with the decisions we made, we threw ball into buckets with a piece of paper with situations on them and if it was more or less likely to happen and the last activity was a talk, we sat down in a circle and spoke about where we could go if we needed to get help or what we needed to do.
It was a fun activity and I’m sure we all learnt a lot from it.
