Principal's Report

Principal's Report

This week, I spoke our school captains Ethan and Emily, just before and after their final VCE exams. This is an emotional, exciting and sometimes scary time for students as they complete their schooling and head off into the next chapter of their lives. Emily Steward’s speech from the Year 12 final assembly makes particular note of the role of our career counselors in preparing students for this next phase.

"Firstly, I want to send out a big congratulations to my cohort for completing a successful and often stressful year.  I’m proud to say that we have finally made it here, and I wish you guys the very best of luck for your exams.

Thank you to all the teachers for putting in so much effort, for all the extra hours, after school classes and early mornings.  And most importantly, for putting up with our melt downs and tantrums throughout the year, we really do appreciate it.

A big thank you to our careers counselors Miss Woodward and Miss Stutchbury, you guys have really put in the hard yards to make sure we find our pathways for our futures.

And finally, I want to introduce next year’s school captains, Ben and Nicole. You guys will be seeing a lot more of them next year and I wish them the very best of luck. "

Child safe

In response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Reponses to Child Sexual Abuse, all schools are required to implement minimum Child Safety Standards. At Staughton College, we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school. We have fully implemented all of the standards, including a Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct. Both of these documents can be found on our website.

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
