Year 10 Applied Class–STEM @ KIOSC with 3D Printing

On June 1st the Year 10 Applied Science class attended the KIOSC facility to try their hand at 3D printing.  After working during class time to produce a prototype of their own choice, the visit allowed students to take their virtual design into the real world.  Students became familiar with the printing process by producing personalised keyrings, and then applied their new skills to print their own objects.  Some of the objects are shown here, and many of the students showed great design talent.  The objects can either be printed or rendered for use in game design in software; both of which are growing fields in STEM.  I would like to send a big thank you to KIOSC for personalising the day for the group and helping students to see their designs through to the real world.
