Erfam Vafamehri at the NGV

2017 began with a creative flurry for Erfam Vafamehri of Year 11. On Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 January he was back at school. Not at St Albans Secondary College, but at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). Erfam was one of 12 students to gain entry to the prestigious NGV Summer School for 2017. He attended three days of workshops, floor talks, lectures and production classes. Over the three days, Erfram engaged with the curators of the David Honkney and John Olsen exhibitions, fashion artists Victor and Rolph, and workshops run by prominent Australian artists. He had the opportunity to actively connect with artists and gain valuable firsthand experience of the Arts Industry. Erfram received sponsorship from Krystyna Campbell Pretty, her sponsorship targets talented visual arts students from the West and enables them to access and participate in the Arts.
Special thanks from Erfram to Ms Kent, Mr D’Aglas and Mr Bowden for their role in creating this opportunity for him.
