I have been a teacher for 7 years. I love all things science and maths. These subjects allow me to make sense of the world around me. When I am not exploring science and maths with my students, I love applying my understanding to fashion design. I also love growing orchids and looking after my ponds and chooks on the weekend.

I am a Year 7 and 8 Humanities and English teacher at St. Albans Secondary College. I commenced my career at St. Albans Secondary College during term three in 2016 where I taught Humanities and Comprehension to a range of junior and middle school students. This year, I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to return to such an amazing school like St Albans Secondary and look forward to meeting new teachers and teaching new students.
Vikki Bunce
I’m the new Teacher Librarian at St Albans. Originally from Queensland, I’ve lived in Melbourne for the past 5 years and loved every minute of it. I believe being a Teacher Librarian is one of the best jobs in the world – if not THE best. I’m in the privileged position of being able to work with teachers across all subjects and students of all ages.
My area of expertise is in information management, trying to make the process of finding information easier for students and staff by providing relevant, reliable resources to support the areas they’re studying or teaching. My job revolves around literacy of all kinds. I help students find the right book for them as each student is individual in their needs and reading tastes. And I teach [and help teachers teach] information literacy – finding, assessing, evaluating, using and referencing information - helping students to be better, more independent researchers.
Emma Viney
I am extremely excited to join the team here at St Albans Secondary College. I teach year 7 and 8 Japanese and Year 9 English. I am extremely passionate about language and culture and cannot wait to learn more. I lived in Japan as part of an exchange program when I was at university and I hope to bring my personal experiences of living in another country to the classroom. I love to add interesting facts throughout my lessons and to celebrate Japanese cultural events.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I am extremely excited to be teaching at SASC this year which is already proving to be an extremely supportive school, both for the students and the staff. This year I have the pleasure of having 7G, 8G and 9D for Mathematics. Before starting my career in education, I previously worked as an Air Force officer, a snowboard instructor and hotel supervisor which has taken me all over the world. I also have a love of anything sports or tech related.

Bronwyn Salton
Following university studies where she majored in modern languages, Bronwyn Salton worked as a nightclub singer, as a translator in military intelligence and as a television presenter before completing her studies in education and venturing into the classroom as a teacher. She has lived in France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Japan, Iceland (of course!) and travelled extensively throughout Vietnam but now finds her home in St Albans.

I will be teaching English and Literacy this year. I have spent the last few years working at Lakeview Senior College where I have taught English and Literature, but I have been fortunate to also teach other subjects I am passionate about, including Health and Human Development and Psychology.
I look forward to working with students across the three sub-schools and getting to know what they are passionate about, both in- and out-of-school. In my spare time I enjoy watching films, cycling and, most importantly, reading.
Melrose Tran
I was born and raised in the western suburbs of Melbourne. I am a graduate from The University of Melbourne with a degree in the Bachelor of Music and Master in Teaching.
My passion in music flourished when I was able to play Fur Elise on the piano at a young age. I find an enjoyment in playing classical music and covers of my favourite pop songs. Playing the piano also helps me relax.
Aside from music, I love to travel and do adventure sports, occasionally at the same time. My memorable moment would have to be the time I went kayaking in the mangrove forest of Krabi, Thailand.
This is my first year at St Albans Secondary College where I will be teaching Music, Humanities and Comprehension.

After becoming a little acquainted with the college in Term 4 last year, I’m so delighted to back teaching English this year. I hail from Gilmore College for Girls in Footscray, which was an excellent 7 years teaching Humanities and English. Last year I enjoyed a year off to spend some time in Europe and even dabbled in a little factory work where vinyl records are made and worked on some music projects. Extremely pumped to get stuck into my English classes, getting to know my students better and staff likewise.
