Tuesday – Assembly (11:45am) and Student Dismissal (12:30pm)

On Tuesday we will be holding our traditional end-of-year assembly at 11:45am on the outdoor courts. Traditionally the assembly is a great opportunity for the community to farewell our exiting students and staff.

A reminder that school finishes at 12:30pm on Tuesday.

Special Assemblies Next Year

Please diarise 9:00am Friday 3rd February and 2:40pm Friday 10th Febuary next year as we’d love you to join in two very special Assemblies. On Feb 3rd, Murrundindi will be returning to the school, hosting a Welcome to Country which will be a special honour and moment for the school.  On Feb 10th, our Captains and Junior School Council members will receive their badges.

Year 6 Graduation

Last night we celebrated our graduating class of 2022.  Congratulations!

Thank you to the staff and committee that went above and beyond to set up, cater and provide a terrific evening for the students and their families.

All the best to our departing staff!

At this time of year, we take the time to thank and celebrate our community. In addition to the graduating class of 2022 our community would like to thank and wish all the best to our departing staff:

  • Tamara Cooke, who began her teaching career at Croydon Hills Primary School in 2013. Tamara is a highly regarded teacher and a much-valued member of our community. She will be missed as she continues her educational journey closer to home as a Year 5/6 teacher at Wandong Primary School.
  • Gemma Jamieson, who joined our school for Term 4 to fill the absence created by Amana Temple and her Maternity Leave. We wish Gemma well in teaching Performing Arts in 2023 at Kerrimuir Primary School.
  • Meaghan Carter as she heads off to Healesville Primary School. Meaghan has been an interim PE teacher this year covering Noreen McMenaman’s absence.
  • Ashleigh Mayne, who worked with our Year Three and Four students in the Learning Enhancement (Tutoring) program. All the best to Ash as she finishes her last pre-service teacher placements prior to becoming a graduate teacher mid-2023.
  • Josh Cram, who returned to Croydon Hills Primary School this year on a short-term contract to support the school and fill the absence created by Felicity Puckey and her break for Maternity Leave in August.  Josh, the soon-to-be dad with CHPS educator Jorja, is continuing his teaching career at St Andrews Christian College.

2022 Classes and School Structure

Tomorrow our students will ‘step up’ and meet their 2023 teacher. Despite the teacher shortage in the educational system, our school is fortunate to have an extremely stable staffing profile next year. Please see below for the school’s 2023 staffing profile and join me in welcoming new teachers Danielle Tait (Year 4) and Rob Lewis (interim PE teacher in Noreen’s absence).
