From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents & Families, 

Welcome to 2023 - another magical year of learning at Windang Public School! The energy on the first day back was fantastic! All students walked through the school gates looking fresh, with big smiles on their faces. Our classes for 2023 have been finalised, and we are hosting our Meet the Teacher event next Tuesday 21 February - we hope to see many of you there! Please look at our new staff photos on the Staffing 2023 page of this newsletter to see our 2023 team and roles.

Kindergarten 2023

It is my pleasure to officially welcome our new Kindergarten students and their families to Windang Public School. Kindergarten started their school journey on Thursday 2 February. It was a very special morning with families, and we are so impressed with how sensible, happy and vibrant our newest members of the school are! Ms Papesch, Miss Kemp and Miss Fogarty are doing an outstanding job with settling Kindergarten into the routines of school, teaching them so many new things each day, and helping each and every student blossom.

School Leaders 2023

Our 2023 School Leaders were inducted on Wednesday 8 February. I am looking forward to being updated on the amazing projects they tackle this year, and the ways in which they will contribute to the success of the school.

Southern Stars 2023

We already have some fabulous news about Southern Stars 2023! On the weekend, Koa F, Chloe B, Lexie B, and Taylor B attended an audition for a position in the Southern Stars Primary Dance Company. They participated in a 3 hour workshop showcasing their talents to the audition panel, in extreme heat, and I received an email stating they were a wonderful credit to our school. We are so proud of you! Congratulations to Koa & Chloe who were successful in gaining a position in the 2023 Southern Stars Primary Dance Company!
