School of Wonder
In Religious Education, Years 1 and 2 children have been learning about Holy Week. This week they used rocks and nature to recreate a representation of the Last Supper. Here are some examples of their beautiful creations.

Pastoral Group 1/2 Kara have started learning about Holy Week this week. We have read scripture and watched some clips retelling the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey. After learning about Jesus' journey, we planned and told our own version of the story. Some children drew pictures, others acted out the story, made puppets or used Stop Motion. We were focusing on the key events of the story as well as being successful collaborators when working with others. The next special day we will learn about is Holy Thursday.

Our Foundation children are thrilled to be using their new iPads! After many weeks of wondering when they would be able to use their iPads the children were able to set them up and explore them for the first time. This is a very exciting time as many parents may know!
We spent some time going through how to use our iPads safely and teaching the children how to upload their work on Seesaw. The children have had a number of opportunities to explore the educational games and activities that they will be able to utilise at school. iPad use will be limited to 20 minutes at a time. We are giving our children the skills to be able to use their iPads incidentally for research and for taking photos of their work during Wonder Play.
- Jas Buha, School of Wonder Learning Mentor

School of Wonder children discussed with each other and their Learning Mentors how to recognise bullying and what is respectful behaviour as part of the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence today. St Anne's College took a stand with other schools across the nation to say, "Bullying. No Way!" See the School of Innovation Learning Updates page to find out how they marked the National Day of Action.

The Foundation children received a very special visitor this week - Frankie the Cavoodle. Frankie belongs to St Anne's College's Villani family and spent some time being pampered and patted by some very happy and excited children.

School of Wonder children are collecting the following items to use in Visual Arts: old newspapers; medium/large button-up shirts (for art smocks) and recycled materials (clean yoghurt tubs, small boxes, cartons for a recycling project - no egg cartons please or cartons/boxes that have contained nuts, due to food allergies). Families wanting to donate any of these items can please bring them to the Dry Atelier in the new Stage 2A building.
