Welcome Back!
It has been a very busy time with Camps, School photos, Harmony Day and Parent Teacher Conversations.
Our Year 5 children thoroughly enjoyed their time at Harrietville. They loved the outdoor activities and came back happy but tired. Teachers commented on their wonderful behaviour on camp.
Thanks to Callum Thompson and Sophie Sidebottom (Camp Co-ordinators), Dave Maskell, Laura Williams, Nick Iorianni and Sam Beks for their wonderful organisation and care.
Our Year 6 children return from Camp today, and by all reports have loved their time at Anglesea. For some children, this was their first experience at the beach.
The facilities at Angelnook were fantastic. Thanks to Jack Threlfall (Camp Co-ordinator), Sophie Sidebottom, Sam Beks, Josh Wild, Millie Casey and Kate Turk for their wonderful work with the Year 6's.
Our Years 3/4 children head to Camp next week at Corop. Years 3/4 White, Freeman and Howley will attend on Wednesday and Thursday and Years 3/4 Williams and Weber/Wild will attend on Thursday and Friday. For Year 3, this is their first camp and there is lots of excitement.
It has been amazing to have these year levels attend camp, as all camps were cancelled last year due to bushfires and then COVID.
We understand that is is difficult to organise some appointments outside of school hours for your children, however we are finding we are sending for far too many children during the day and they are missing school. We also ask, that in only special occasions, children get picked up early. We do know that there are always times that this can't be avoided, however if appointments can be made outside school hours, we would really appreciate it.
Thank you for your understanding.
Congratulations to Nate Pelly (5/6 Beks), Zac Gale (3/4 White) and Didi (Deng) Kuol (5/6 Thompson), who have been selected for the Football Victoria (FV) Regional Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) Camps.
Throughout the past month, Football Victoria has conducted trial sessions for over 500 players across Victoria in the U9-12 age groups. Based on their assessments during trials, they have identified players from various regional areas to train and play at a centralised training camp in Melbourne.
Congratulations to our St Brendan’s Soccer players on this wonderful achievement!
Congratulations to Jett Ahmat, Wyatt Carlson and Neville Harradine who won the Soccer Early Bird Registration Prizes. Thank you to Rebel Sport for their generous prizes.
Kind regards,
Paula Stevenson (Principal)
