ACA Cricket Clinic at O'Connor

Last Thursday we were fortunate to be able to host some of the Australian cricketer Greg Mathews and other ACA Masters athletes at the College in two cricket clinics. The students were appreciative of the time and care the men and women took to pass on their knowledge to the next generation. 

Vanessa Simpson and Sam Johnson's Scholarship Success

Sam and Vanessa were asked to line up with Armidale XI and the ACA Masters teams in a Twenty20 match last Friday night. Not only did they get this amazing opportunity, but they were also awarded a $500 cricket scholarship to further their development as athletes.

Futsal

During this term O'Connor has had two sides participating in the PLC Girls Futsal competition.  So far the girls have played 10 games, winning 8 and drawing 2. 

Rugby League Trials at Woodlawn

Year 9 student Chitipat Poomipak is traveling to Woodlawn next Tuesday to partipate in U15 Rugby League Trails. Those selected will then attend Smithtown later in the term to participate in the Northern Country Trials against the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese.  

Inverell Rugby League

On Tuesday 9 March O'Connor U14s and U16s Rugby League sides will be traveling to Inverell to compete in a Super 9s gala day.  

Thursday fortnight (18 March), O'Connor Boys and Girls will travel to Inverell to participate in the U15s Dio Touch Trials.
