2020 VCE Student Achievement - Jade Segrave 

VCE Acknowledgements and presentation of Certificate of Excellence in Geography

Last week, Mr Lord presented Jade Segrave (Year 12 2020) with a Certificate of Excellence from the Geography Teacher’s Association of Victoria. Jade achieved one of the highest scores in the state for Geography with an A+.  These results reflect the incredible hard work by Jade during a year which presented some great difficulties in learning. 

The Geography Teachers’ Association stated in their letter: 

“We would like to congratulate your school, your student and VCE Geography teacher on the strong VCE Geography results achieved in 2020.  The results reflect the hard work of the students, the Geography teachers throughout last year and the earlier years.  The results highlight the excellent ongoing support of Geography in your school.

Never has an understanding of these skills and knowledge of Geography been more important, with geographical issues to the fore of current events.  Geography presents the opportunity for students to problem-solve and suggest and evaluate sustainable solutions. There are also multiple career options for those who study Geography.”
