Grade 2 Students

Celebrating our terrific Twos!

2A - Miss Meagan and Mrs Bird

2A would like to congratulate our SRC recipient Samara Koonjbeharry, who is doing a wonderful job attending meetings and providing feedback to the class!

In Numeracy we have been looking at number patterns and sequences. We were amazed to find out the largest puzzle in the world has 40,000 pieces- it was fascinating to watch the time lapse of it being put together. 2A then had a go at solving their own puzzles using a cut up 120 number chart. They were successful using a range of great strategies!!

2B - Miss Bailey and Mrs Hunter

What a busy week we have had! This week in our CAFÉ Reading, we have been focused on making connections to the characters, setting and plot between one text and another. Together we read and discussed some of the similarities and differences between ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘The Three Little Wolves and The Big Bad Pig’. The Big Bad Pig was hilarious!

Thank you to William & Neive.

In Maths, we are building our understanding of number and value in Place Value. We have had a great time using number lines to skip count our way to winning in all kinds of Maths games!

Thank you to Millie & Amelie TS!

2C - Mrs Mac

In gardening with Claire, we learned all about how to propagate plants!

We replanted mint, strawberries and garlic to be sold at the Mini Market.
