Celebrating our fabulous Foundies!
Now that we are here on Wednesdays we are doing lots of new activities including gardening with Claire this term! This week we checked out the garden and made our gardening rules so we know how to look after the garden. It’s going to be so much fun!
Handwriting is a big focus in Foundation and learning how to form our letters correctly is very important. Here is one of our fabulous students trying her best!
We’re also doing lots of fine motor work to strengthen those muscles in our fingers and hands that help us with all of our learning tasks.
This activity involved threading letters that we have been learning onto pipe cleaners and stretching out the sounds to see if we can make a word.
Foundation learnt the letter S - seals swim, seals slide s, s, s. Our students made a snake to reinforce this sound and to further develop their fine motor skills.
Foundation C completed a literacy activity. They were introduced to sentence structure and had the opportunity to read a sentence, trace it and write it. They also had to cut and paste the sentence in to the correct order. And of course, they all did a brilliant job!
