Cooking:

The students have been busy during cooking sessions over the last couple of weeks. They have prepared and shared some delicious dishes; wholegrain crackers, tomato and basil salsa, roasted spiralled zucchini, honey roasted quince and rhubarb, and herbal tea.

 

This week we have been up to our eyeballs in tomatoes, making some beautiful tomato passata and pasta sauce which can be purchased from our mini market in the coming weeks. Monty Fresh provided us with tomatoes that were perfect for sauce making. It has been a lot of fun!

Gardening:

Last week we worked together in groups to plant strawberries, society garlic and mint. We learned that plants multiply in a variety of ways including through bulbs and runners. We'll be selling our plants at the mini market on Wednesdays so come and have a look.
