YEAR 7 BUNSEN BURNER LICENCES

Congratulations to the Year 7 cohort who have been in Science learning how to light a Bunsen Burner safely. They have all passed their test, and have their licence to prove it!!

7/8 LIKE MINDS "CLOUDS"

Year 7/8 Like Minds class created "clouds" in Science in their studies of states of matter (solids, liquids and gases).

YEAR 11 CHEMISTRY

Year 11 Chemistry students are learning about the reactivity and properties of metals. They observed some “Alchemy” and saw a copper penny turned into silver and then into ‘gold’ by creating a layer of bronze around it, also checked the relative reactivity of metals by mixing various types of metal with Hydrochloric acid and watched sodium reacting with water, which was an absolute sensation!

YEAR 11 BIOLOGY

Year 11 Biology students designed and conducted their own experiments to explore photosynthesis or respiration for their first SAC of 2021.
