In Faith we show ...

Respect, Empathy, Inclusion & Excellence

Lent and Reconciliation

As the Year 3 & 4 students prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, may this remind us that Lent is the time for us all to reflect and reconcile wrong choices in our families, with our friends and with our colleagues.  Saying Sorry is not always easy but has a huge impact on one's beliefs and respect towards others.  The teachings of Jesus sets the example that forgiveness is a way of growing closer to God and to our inner selves. Through the Parable of the Prodigal's Son, we are reminded that mistakes are made but that forgiveness is a way of making a change to ourselves and in our relationships with self and those around us.

Glen Eira Council Living Safely Program

Our school is working collaboratively with the Victorian Police Crime Prevention Unit and the Glen Eira Council on the Crime Prevention Project. Victorian Police Unit and the Council team have been working on a crime prevention project for Glen Eira residents. The team which was  supported by a grant from the Victorian Government Community Crime Prevention fund have provided kits for every family.

The team  has put a lot of work into the project with the main targets being to remind residents and their neighbours to lock up their cars and homes, to show thieves that this area is not an easy target for crime, and to spend a few minutes going over your own home’s security with our easy to follow checklist, and identify any changes that would make it more secure.  The stickers provided look fantastic and Local Laws have changed to allow these particular stickers to be fixed to residential bins.

Your family will receive a free kit that you will be able to enact upon on your discretion.

Safety in the wider community is always important.

Parent attendances to whole school events.

At this point in time in keeping with COVId-19 density limits and the size of the Padua Pavilion and Church parents are welcome to attend the events as follows:

Assembly & Prayer celebrations - only the classroom parents

Mass - all welcome

Contact Tracing via the school's App or the Church's sign in register is required at all attendances.  Hopefully, we will be able to go back to welcoming all families in the near future.
