Year 7 News

What a great start it has been! It was so awesome to see all the Year 7 students in their new uniforms, excited for what secondary college can offer and happy to get involved in our transition week.

All our students have had a chance to meet their new class mates, meet their teachers, navigate their way around our extensive school and get involved in all our activities that we have offered.

Students have immersed themselves in their classes and are getting used to moving to different classrooms with different teachers. They have been welcomed to the school in our full school assembly, marching in behind our Drum Corp, as well as participating in our other activities: sports, team building activities and completing the week with our class v class trivia competition!

It was also wonderful to see all our students participating in our school swim sports day. So many students got involved in the races as well as the fun events like the surf board races and doggy paddle dash. It was great to see the students getting into the spirit of the carnival wearing their team colours!

I hope all students have had a wonderful start to secondary college, as I know the transition can be a little scary (for parents also!). Our team at Mornington SC look forward to meeting you soon, getting know you and your child more and starting our journey together.

The new walkway between the year 7 lockerbay bay has been completed, along with a new basketball/handball courts.  It looks fantastic and the students have been enjoying playing on these.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the coordination team or any of you child’s teachers. We are here to help.
