5/6 Volleybounce District Grand Final

On Friday 15th July, selected students from 5/6 participated in the Volleybounce Grand Final against Mullum Mullum PS. It took place at Mullum Primary School and students were driven to and from the venue in a minibus by myself.

Volley bounce is played with nine players and the games go to 15. You must win by a margin of two. The first set was so close and of a very high standard. All students from both schools did some great pieces of play involving very good Volleybounce skills and teamwork. The final score was 22 to 20, the set went to Mullum Mullum.

The next set we had the advantage of serving first and quickly gained an early lead. This lead remained throughout the set and Marlborough won the second set 15 to 9.

The last set Mullum got the early advantage and despite a late comeback by Marlborough Mullum won the final set and hence the District Volley bounce Grand Final. The Volleybounce team was the only 5/6 team to make it to the District final so they should all be very proud of their efforts.

The following students were a part of the Volleybounce team.

Oscar B.S, Harley C, Michael D, Roman H, Gabe L, Bailey M, Miles M, Kian M, Matilda M and Remy S. S.  Isaac M was a part of the Volleybounce team but was absent on final day. All students displayed good sportsmanship and participated positively in very competitive game play. A big thank you to Natarsha, Matilda’s mum who assisted and accompanied the Marlborough Team. Also to Ms Davis who organised bus transport and compass forms.
