MATILDA
Thank you
As the final curtain closed on Saturday evening, a great sense of joy (and relief) filled our collective hearts as the realisation of what we had just achieved sunk in. Over 100 students and staff came together and did something truly special... stage a large-scale musical after spending the past three years in the theatrical wilderness. It is a testament to every single person who worked on this production that despite the challenges faced, theatre ultimately triumphed.
The cast were incredible, the orchestra exquisite, the backstage crew precise, the technicians meticulous, and the audiences highly responsive. Many hours of hard work behind the scenes were needed to make this happen by staff, both internal and external, who were fundamental in the production’s success. On behalf of the students and myself, a huge thank you and ‘bravo’ to the names listed below:

To have the Huntingtower community back in our beautiful Performing Arts Centre was simply wonderful, especially as the cast took their final bow the audience stood as one to cheer for what they had just witnessed. That moment had a sense of symbolism for me, as if the community were acknowledging not just an outstanding performance but their collective joy in experiencing it together.
To the cast, design team, orchestra and backstage crew, a heartfelt thank you for your tremendous efforts and a huge congratulations for what you have achieved. Our performance of Matilda is one that I and many others will never forget.
I look forward to seeing in the foyer next year when we stage our next production in 2023!
Mr Trent Bockman
