Welcome to Term 3!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome back everyone! It has been wonderful to start Term 3 with our Parent Teacher interviews taking place in Week 3 and having the opportunity to celebrate the progress of our students. We come away feeling energised from these meetings as we discuss your child's future goals and celebrate all that has been achieved.

In Term 3 we welcome back Ms P. and give a huge thank you to Ms Lupo and Ms Kasikakis for their help, support and care for the students in 6A. Parent Teacher interviews for 6A will be re-scheduled upon Ms P.'s return to school and parents will be notified as soon as possible to make a suitable time to meet.

There is much to look forward to in Term 3 with events planned for Athletics Day, Spanish Day, Science Week and Book Week. Please look at 'Dates to Remember' to note these key events.

Term 3 also brings much excitement as we finalise placements at secondary school for our Grade 6 students. Families are reminded to please return their 'Placement Acceptance Slip' to their Grade 6 classroom teacher by Wednesday 10th August.

REMINDERS

  • The Victorian Department of Health strongly recommends that face masks are worn in indoor settings for students over 8 years old.
  • Please continue to ensure that unwell students remain at home, even with mild symptoms.
  • If your child is going to be absent from school, please mark the absence in XUNO prior to school starting.
  • It is important that students dress to suit the weather. To improve classroom ventilation, windows may be open. This can have an impact on our classroom temperature so please make sure your child has a jacket.
  • Students are encouraged to read at home every night for 20-30 minutes.
  • Thank you to our parents who have donated two boxes of tissues.

Feel free to contact your child’s teacher if you have any queries and we thank you for your continued partnership.

Kind regards,

Chau, Elliott, Michelle, Sonia and Thomai
