100 days of prep

Hooray! The Preps have been at school for more than 100 days! To mark this milestone, the Preps came dressed as 100-year-old people.

The costumes were fantastic and it was great to see all the children excited to celebrate 100 days of learning. The children especially enjoyed doing a costume parade for their parents on the basketball court. It is wonderful to see the Lakeside Community come together to join in the celebration.

The day's learning centered around 100, including some fun literacy, numeracy, and craft activities.

Well done Preps!

Hoop Time

Earlier this term, a number of Primary students had the opportunity to attend the Hoop Time Basketball day. Hoop Time brings together school kids from across Victoria for single-day round robin tournaments. The Hoop Time program offers kids in Grade 3 and 4 (junior) and Grade 5 and 6 (senior) the opportunity to play in a fun competition with qualified referees. All students did a great job in participating with enthusiasm and showed huge improvement in skill and gameplay throughout the day. Well done to all of those involved!
