STEM Building Progess Report

Dear students, parents, carers and our wider school community,

As you’ll be aware, our school has received over $16 million in State Government funding to deliver the next stage of our master plan, which will provide our school with a new three-storey library and Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) building.

Our School Council, leadership team, architects from Kerstin Thompson Architects and the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) have been working closely to develop designs to create an environment designed for delivering modern education.

I’m pleased to announce that our project has just completed the Design Development phase. This means that designs have now been endorsed by our school council and leadership team, and approved by the Department of Education and Training.

The project will now enter the tender phase, which will help to appoint a builder and finalise costings for the project.

I’m excited to be able to share the final designs of our new facility with the school community once costings have been completed in late-September.

The VSBA will continue to work closely with our school to ensure our community are updated as our project progresses.

If you have any further questions about the works at Northcote High School, you can phone the VSBA on 1800 896 950, email vsba@education.vic.gov.au or visit the website: https://www.schoolbuildings.vic.gov.au/northcote-high-school

Thank you

Chris Jones
