!!!! PRODUCTION TICKETS !!!!

Our School Production is approaching quickly. Preparations and rehearsals are well under way and we are positive that this musical will prove to be a very entertaining evening for all!

 

We will be using a new venue in 2023 – the Mahon Theatre at Aquinas College, Ringwood (directly across the road from Great Ryrie Primary School). 

 

Tickets will be available to purchase online, through our school website (www.greatryrieps.vic.edu.au) from Monday 17th July, 9am.

Simply click on the ‘The Generation Gap’ icon and follow the prompts to choose which performance you would like to attend and where you would like to sit. During periods of high demand you may experience difficulties in accessing this site. Please persevere! 

 

All tickets will be $25. This is a reduction of $3 per ticket from previous years. We will be releasing the tickets in rounds. In the first round, all families will have access to 4 tickets. After this, we will release a second round of tickets and families will be able to purchase additional tickets. We do this to ensure equity in ticket access. 

 

Families unable to access the Internet can contact the office for assistance with purchasing tickets. 

 

All children over 2 years must have a seat, as required by theatre management.

Performers will not need a ticket as they will be required backstage when not performing. 

 

Don’t forget to save or print out your tickets, which will have the seat numbers on them and bring them to the theatre to gain admission on the night of the performance. 

 

Refunds will not be issued for unused tickets. 

 

Please ensure you are familiar with which cast your child is in and which evenings they will be performing. If you are unsure, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.

 

CAST 1 will perform on 9th and 10th of August. All children in cast 1 are required at BOTH performances.

CAST 2 will perform on 16th and 17th of August. All children in cast 2 are required at BOTH performances.

 

Production t-shirts

Thanks to everyone who supported this fundraiser. We had a terrific response. If you have not yet received your production t-shirts, please let me know ASAP Peta.Murray@education.vic.gov.au

 

Students will be allowed to wear their production t-shirts to school any time over the next 4 weeks in the lead up to the production and during the performance weeks.

 

Parent helpers for rehearsals and performances

We will need lots of help in the coming weeks with supervision during our stage rehearsals and performance evenings.

Production - CAST 1 (A-L) Stage Rehearsal MONDAY 7th AUGUST (9.00am - 12.50pm). This will involve walking to and from the theatre with a grade and assisting with supervision at the theatre, assisting the children with moving on and off stage and general organisational duties.

This will involve assisting the children with dressing, supervision to and from the theatre and supervision backstage on the evening of a performance.

There will be separate sign up sheets for parents who wish to help with the more technical side of the evenings (such as backstage crew, lighting and sound), next week.

 

Final arrangements for the performers including drop off and pick up times, requirements for hair and make-up etc, will be available next week.
