Grade 5/6

Term 3

 

This term the Grade 5/6 students will be studying the Victorian Goldrush and its effects on Australia's population and immigration.

 

Wednesday 19 July 

 

We will be walking and visiting historic gold sites around Warrandyte including the Gold Memorial, The Quarry and Victory Mine. These locations are part of the Gold Heritage Walk in Fourth Hill. Students are encouraged to dress up from the 1850s era to add to the excitement of the morning. Students will be walking, so suitable footwear is required.

 

Camp

 

Sovereign Hill Camp is fast approaching - 14 - 16 August

Thank you to all families who have returned all notices for camp. These need to be returned by Monday so we can finalise details with the camp staff.

 

Year 6 - 7 State School Transition

 

Secondary State School confirmations will be sent home on Wednesday 19 July. Parents will be given detailed instructions on how to accept the offer of placements.
