From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land and waterways

and pay our respects to the Elders past and present and emerging,

for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

St Anthony's Feast Day

Last week the Parish came together to celebrate the feast day for St Anthony of Padua. The students and the parishioners joined together in Mass and gave thanks and praise to our Patron Saint.  The mass was celebrated with great reverence and vigor knowing that our prayers and intercessions were offered to St Anthony.

Following Mass the students eagerly took part in the Kaboom Sports Activites.  The Sports Captains and helpers proudly lead their group around the many actitivies which were filled with fun and enthusiasm.   As Kaboom coordinator, Luke, posted... "These kids were EPIC for their Tabloid Sports event."

Student Celebrations:

Congratulations to Josh (5/6MC) on his continued success by winning

gold in his weight bracket in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament last week. He has another tournament coming up in mid July.

Jump Rope For Heart

Thank you to the children that took part in the fundraiser.   A total  of $1113.00 was raised for the Heart Foundation. Congratulations to the following students for their contribution to the Foundation:  Primrose, Molly H, Sienna, Jax, Chloe and Lily H.  Your prizes will be sent to the school at the start of Term Three.

End of another term

We have come to the end of another term and students, staff and parents have much to celebrate as even though this term was only 9 weeks it was filled with much learning and activates to highlight their learning.  Reading the Semester Two Reports outlined the growth that each child made over the course of the six months of schooling.  Thank you to the parents that attended the Progress Meetings so that your child's effort and growth in work was acknowledged and celebrated.

Please note the following dates for your calendars.

  •       Term 3 commences on Monday, 10th July 2023.
  •       Curriculum Day Friday, 4th August 2023.

I hope that everyone stays well and avoids the winter chills and ailments that are upon us at the moment and we look forward to what next term will bring to us.

Yours sincerely

Margaret Carlei
