New enrolment forms for 2024

Please use this link for the Department of Education's new enrolment form.

This will be used by all schools for all  2024 enrolments.

If you have previously attended a school tour, and have an enrolment pack, please disregard the green form that was enclosed, and use this form.

To allow for these new updated forms, 2024 enrolments are due by July 28th, 2023.  Families who submit an enrolment form to this process, will receive a confirmation letter indicating acceptance or decline of their enrolment application by Friday 25th August 2023.

Completed enrolment forms along with copies of the child’s birth certificate and immunization certificate can be returned to Kalinda Primary School via

  • email (kalinda.ps@education.vic.gov.au)
  • mail (Kalinda Primary School, 39-49 Kalinda Road, Ringwood 3134)

What can we pack in a lunchbox?

It is better to have a lot of small snacks than not enough.

10 am - Brain food

Students are encouraged to fruit or vegetables. This is normally something like carrots, an apple, or fresh berries. Always fruit or vegetables at this time.

11 am - Recess

It is usually a small amount and students eat before they head outside, and children generally like it to be something quick and easy to eat as they like to be off playing!

1.10 pm - Lunch

Often a sandwich, wrap, or crackers. Can be sushi, cold pasta, or quiche depending on whether we have known allergies in our class. Carbs are a great option, they help provide long-lasting energy to get them through the afternoon.

We recommend practicing eating from a lunchbox, opening packages, and choosing an item to eat. Include food that you know will be well received and fill their tummy rather than worrying about an Instagram-perfect lunchbox. Often children will only eat whatever is quickest and easiest so go for that!
