Bennett Shield
Every Friday afternoon throughout Term 3 & 4, the Grade 5/6 students will participate in Bennett Shield. This is an intra-school sports competition in which students compete in house teams and verse the other house teams in a range of different sports and physically engaging games. Points are rewarded each round. Teams receive 4 points for a match won, 2 points for a drawn match, and 0 points for a match lost.
In 2022 MELBA House took out the win.
Who will be deemed the Bennett Shield winners of 2023?
Good luck to all the houses.
The Grade 5/6 students competed in Gala Day 2 as part of the Inter School Sports program last Thursday the 13th of July. Teams were placed in either the finals or consolation pool based on how they performed on Gala Day 1, which meant teams played other teams of a similar ability level.
All coaches were very proud of the sportsmanship our students showed and were amazed by the improvement in skills and understanding of the game.
A very special congratulations to the AFL Mixed team who finished first in the Ringwood North District and are through to Division finals. Well done team and Mr. Barden!!! Excellent effort!!!
Also thank you to all our parent helpers who assisted with coaching a team, without your help we would not be able to field as many teams as we do, so thank you, we really do appreciate it.
