OUT And About

SCHOOL FORMAL SEASON

On Thursday 8 June at the Cranbourne Racecourse we hosted the Year 12 Formal and on Friday 16 June the Year 11 Formal at the Mornington Racecourse. These memorable events marked the end of the Year 12 assessment week and the Year 11 Mid-Year Examinations, respectively.

Both evenings were filled with joy, laughter, and a shared sense of accomplishment as our senior students celebrated their achievements and bid farewell to the demanding period of assessments. The elegantly decorated venues provided the perfect backdrop for our students to relax, unwind, and create lasting memories with their friends and teachers.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the Senior Sub School Team – Ms Carla Caminiti, Ms Kelly Mitchell, Mr Ryan Jones, Ms Leanne Milne, Ms Kerryn Elrick and Mr Mitch Land - for their meticulous planning and flawless execution of these formal events. Their dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment ensured that the evenings were truly unforgettable for our students. Their efforts in coordinating logistics, organising entertainment, and creating a safe and enjoyable atmosphere were truly commendable. I would also like to express my appreciation to the teachers who attended the formal events.

LIFESAVING

Frankstons' first Solstice Surf was completed last Tuesday. We had 50 dedicated Lifesavers attend for our mid-year surf in what turned out to be perfect conditions for our 2023 crop. The Lifesavers just keep building towards the end of year camp and how lucky we are to do these amazing activities.

Congratulations Finnlay Gillson (Year 8D)

Congratulations to Finnlay Gillson who this year completed 100% of the rostered Portsea Legends patrols. Fin participated in all patrols and included himself in a variety of patrol techniques to ensure the Portsea Back Beach stayed safe throughout the summer months. Looking forward to seeing Fin continue to flourish in the Frankston High School Lifesaving Community!"
