DAV Online Public Speaking Champions

During the final week of Term 2, the DAV Online Public Speaking Competition finals were held. Students who were unable to participate in or missed out on places in the face-to-face competitions earlier this year were offered places in these competitions, which required them to dust off their online learning skills to record and submit a persuasive speech on a topic of their choosing. In the final they had to present this speech in a live online final, along with performing an impromptu speech in front of a panel of adjudicators.

Congratulations are due to Amanda L, Sanula P and Jizelle N (Year 11), who all competed in the Senior Final. In a great result, Amanda placed first in the senior final, also with Sanula placing second and Jizelle placing third to take out a clean sweep of the competition. 

Well done as well to Sachin G (Year 8) who earned a place in the Junior Final and did extremely well.
