Junior School Council

It was Lachlan's turn to think of a way Hobson's Bay could improve our community. He voiced his concern regarding the increased amount of traffic that passes through the newly renovated basketball and soccer stadium. He asked if the council were thinking of ways to keep pedestrians safer or consider another exit out of this space.

"I'm Bored"

And so begins the cycle of suggesting activities before the holiday boredom strikes again!

The good news is that psychologists say boredom is good for children. "It helps develop kids' creativity and imagination, and discover their true interests".

So, what’s the solution?

Here are some ideas to create an “I’m Bored” Jar – a fun, screen-free way for kids to entertain themselves with the power of their imaginations.

Community Asthma Program - Free Education

It is coming into the winter months and hospitals are expecting a peak in asthma presentations and winter illnesses.  Inner west suburbs have some of the highest rates of asthma in Victoria due to high transportation routes and high industry in the area, so we are trying to raise community awareness of our Community Asthma Program in these suburbs. We are a free asthma education and support service for children aged 1-17 years of age.  Families can self refer to the service if they feel they need any help with their child’s asthma.
