From the Principal

Celebrating all things great at the Grove.

Spring is here!

It is hard to believe we have moved to this part of the year and looking at the end of the term again.  We were very lucky that we only had to go through 1 week of remote learning as a school and then things seemed to have returned to 'normal' or the 'new normal' as we are coming to know of it.  Students are moving towards the end of term and have started to work on assessment tasks with their teachers.  I hope that spring brings a new sense of beginnings as the days grow longer and the weather warmer.

Wearing of Masks and other restrictions

We have moved into stage 3 of restrictions.  You can see the details here for your reference.  We can go back to holding our assemblies as a school again and parents are welcomed into school.  We do ask that you check in with our QR codes when you do come in, you must be wearing a mask at all times.  Please keep an eye out on our socials for any updates.

The Great Book Swap

This is a fantastic way to celebrate reading locally, learn more about Indigenous languages and culture, while raising funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

The idea is to bring in a favourite book and swap to another book in exchange for a gold coin donation.

We will be holding this day on Monday 6th September.  Tables will be set up in the Admin area for books to be displayed. This money goes towards gifting new books to remote indigenous communities & gives our children access to new books to read at home.

We are in the Wamparla house.
