Assistant Principal

Mr. Timothy Cottrell

Dear families,

I want to congratulate you all for your commitment to remote learning during this continued lockdown period. It will be great to re-connect with friends and teachers onsite when able to do so – hopefully next week. In the meantime please use your teachers as the valuable learning resource, and important point of connection to school life. No doubt the experience of remote learning will vary from student to student, and staff are eager to work with students to re-affirm progress in their learning.

Student Managers and the Wellbeing team are ready to assist in any way as students in any way, so please be sure to stay in touch with any requests that will assist your efforts during the lockdown period.

Be sure also to build time into your day to gain fresh air, hopefully some sun, and to think about something we can be grateful for during challenging times. I am grateful for all the wonderful people our students are, and for the dedication of our staff in the care for our young people. An enormous vote of thanks also to all of the families working to support the remote learning and positive experiences during this difficult period.

There are very common-sense procedures in place to ensure good hygiene and safety for all, now and upon your return to school. Regular washing of hands, endeavouring at all times to maintain a distance from others of 1.5m, and remaining in seats during lessons and being sure to closely follow all instructions provided by staff.

I urge all of our community to review our Facebook page for wonderful efforts undertaken by our students, and also to have a good look at School TV on our website – this is an extremely valuable resource for all in our community.

See you all again soon,

Timothy Cottrell
