RU OK? Day

A conversation can change a life.

Do you know how the people in your world are really going?

Life's ups and downs happen to all of us.  So chances are someone you know might be struggling.  Your genuine support can make a difference whatever they are facing, big or small.

RU OK? Day is an initiative that inspires and empowers everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life.

You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

At Pakenham Springs, RU OK? Day will be celebrated on Wednesday the 8th of September and we encourage all families to get involved and join in the discussion.

R U OK? has created a music video to encourage children from Kindergarten to Year 6 to take the time to comfort their friends when they're feeling blue.  Watch and share to show

the young people in your world that it’s lighter when we share the load!

The Springers Spirit

It has been wonderful to see that even Lockdown 6.0 has not deterred the Springers community from practising The Resilience Project's Principles of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness.  This year, students have learned that when practising these things daily, they are more likely to show resilience and improved wellbeing when things get a bit rough.

The #DISMOMENT Challenge

We would love to learn about what makes you happy, and the moments when you are grateful.  The next time you see something you're really grateful for, something you're happy to have... stop.  Point to it. Just say "DIS”!

Watch the video above for Hugh and Martin's explanation of the #DISMOMENT challenge, and share your #DISMOMENTS with us on Facebook!
