Subject Selection for 2022 Update
Over the past few weeks, you and your child have been provided with a range of information to assist in the selection of their 2022 learning program. This is an exciting time for all. We hope that you have found the subject selection information helpful to assist you at this time, as we continue to operate remotely.
This week we will be opening Web preferences for students in Years 7 & 8 to enter their selections and over the coming weeks commencing the all important course confirmation interviews for students in Year 9 & 10 and their parents to finalise the subject selection process for this new stage of their education, either through the VCE or VCAL pathways.
Details of both are provided below.
Year 7 & 8 Subject Selection for 2022
Web preferences will open on Thursday the 19th of August for Year 7 & 8 students to select their 2022 Program. Students have been asked to bring their Subject Planning Sheet to their Learning Mentor Meeting on Thursday and their LM will assist them with this process. They will be emailed their login details first thing on Thursday morning. All students need to ensure that they have entered their 2021 Subject Selections via Web Preferences by 9am Monday 23rd of August.
Year 10 Interviews and Course Counselling
All Year 9 and 10 students will this week be invited to attend a 15 minute interview to confirm their selections for 2022. Parents will be able to join these interviews virtually. . These interviews are vital to ensure that your child has selected the appropriate pathway and subjects for 2022.
Interviews for students selecting a VCE pathway will occur from Friday 27th of August to Monday 30th August 2021. These interviews will be conducted by Beth Crossman, our Pathways Coordinator and members of the Curriculum Team.
Students selecting the VCAL pathway will have their interview on Wednesday 1st of September. These interviews will be conducted by our VCAL team.
Families are requested to book a suitable time by Wednesday 25th of August.
Meetings are booked via the schoolinterviews website and details on this process were sent to Year 9 & 10 parents on Thursday via an Operoo email.
Please make sure you choose the appropriate interview slot depending on whether your child has selected a VCE program or the VCAL Pathway.
VCAA VTAC Revised Dates for 2021
The VCAA has announced that VCE results will now be released at 7am, Thursday 16 December 2021. VTAC have confirmed that the ATAR will be released to VCE students at the same time.
The December offer round for domestic students will not run in 2021. The first offer round for domestic Year 12 students will be the January round, with offers released on 14 January 2022.
