College Principal Report

Congratulations to our students

We have continued to remote teach and learn since our last College Newsletter. Most students continue to engage with their learning although it is becoming apparent that increasing numbers of students are struggling to stay connected with their learning. I commend them for the way they have continued to try and I thank the parents for their support. I am very positive that there will be a return to onsite learning for at least part of Term Four

Parent Teacher Interviews

I would like to thank all the parents who joined into our Parent/Teacher/Student interviews that were held via WebEx on Tuesday 14th September. This was the first time they have been held via WebEx and the initial feedback from students and parents is that they worked very well. Please remember that if there is a teacher that you were not able to talk to on the night you are able to email them to arrange a time to discuss your child.

Pop up Vaccination Clinic opens in Dandenong

On 16 September 2021, the Monash Health South East Public Health Unit opened a new ‘pop-up’ COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Palm Plaza in Dandenong for the community.

The Palm Plaza Vaccination Clinic operates from 9am to 5pm, seven days a week and will do so for several weeks. Please be aware that the clinic may close early on days due to demand and supply of vaccines.

Local residents can walk-in to the vaccination clinic as, no bookings are required. The pop-up clinic will have both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

The Palm Plaza Vaccination Clinic will have interpreters and interpreter services available to support local residents who attend.

The vaccination is free, safe and the best way to protect yourself, your family and community from COVID-19.

A reminder that individuals intending to be vaccinated should bring their Medicare cards with them. If they do not have a Medicare card, they will still need to bring some form of ID (driver’s license, passport etc) to receive the vaccine.

Please be aware that the waiting area is outside, so individuals will need personal items such as water, sun protection or an umbrella with you.

If individuals have any symptoms, they should get tested, isolate and wait to receive a negative result before attending the vaccination clinic. For the latest information on getting tested for COVID-19, please visit the Victorian Government’s Where to get tested webpage.
