Tornado In a Jar

Ever felt like this? I think we all have from time to time.

A great mindful activity we just did and would love to share with you is this craft.

It will bring joy and hopefully peace when needed, for all ages

Get a jar

Fill it with very warm water, about

¾ full.

Add some glitter glue.

Replace lid.

Shake well until dispersed.

Decorate jar.

One young lady described it like a Tornado in a jar.

A perfect example of what this jar looks like when you shake it and what we can feel like inside when our emotions are heightened.

Apart from a great wet day activity, this is a great tool to have at home when the emotions are exploding inside. To find a quiet place with your jar-shake and breathe whilst you watch your glitter settle quietly back down. Do again if you haven’t settled quietly inside too.

HAPPY MINDFULLNESS

If you feel like a tornado in a jar, far too often, maybe it’s time to seek out family, friends and/or help.

Operation Christmas Child

As a school this term we would love to put together some Christmas boxes for children in countries who have little to nothing.  It will bring joy to these children, and to yours as you shop for a few essential/fun items that you can donate.  There is a collection box located in the Front Office where donations can be left.  All donations need to be received by Friday 17/9.

See the flyer attached for suitable items to be donated.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
