Year 7 Visual Arts Day

For Year 7 Visual Arts Day, 25 gifted Year 7 Art Students created a collaborative artwork which will be hung on public display around the school. This year, students painted a colourful mural to be hung in the Textiles area of the College depicting Iconic Fabric Designs. The students involved are to be commended on their teamwork, artistic skill, and strong work ethic for an intensive day of art-making.

Second-hand book sale tomorrow Saturday 7 December

Those wishing to sell and those wishing to buy or exchange information.
First in, best dressed.
Prices are usually agreed at half of the new price depending on the condition of the book.

Basketball Tour

Best wishes to our students that departed this week on our John XXIII College Basketball Tour. Students will be touring for 15 days through the United States of America.

They will be playing four games against Rio Hondo High School, Polytechnic Pasadena High School, Whittier High School and Bonita High School. They will also have the opportunity to visit the schools and attend dinners with the players.

Students will have the opportunity to watch a College basketball game and attend a NBA game as well. They will also be undertaking many cultural activities, including visits to San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Alcatraz and California Academy of Sciences.

Year 9 Geography

As part of the study of Global Interconnections, Year 9 HASS students have been doing origami in their classrooms over the past week. They have had a lot of fun and gained an understanding of a different culture. In this fast-paced digital world, it has been terrific to see students getting a lot of enjoyment out of a piece of paper!
