Parish Chaplain - Fr Christian

Friends, today we celebrate Our Marian college feast day, so I would say to you all, Happy Feast Day! The title of our feast today is under the name of Mary as ‘Our Lady Help of Christians’. In life, we receive help from so many people. First and in a more natural and special way from our parents, and then from our teachers, from our friends and even surprisingly sometimes from strangers.

Today’s feast reminds us that we can equally count on Mary’s help. Our Church has receive so many help from Mary over the centuries. It is good for us to know that we can talk to Jesus and Mary about anything; we can pray for our families, parents, siblings and for someone who is sick. We can pray for ourselves, for our dreams and prospects in life and we can equally pray for spiritual growth in our faith.

A good way to receive help from Jesus through Mary is by saying our daily prayers. Saying more often the prayers of Our Father and Hail Mary do bring us so many blessings.

I leave us with this beautiful prayer which I say everyday:

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

HAPPY FEAST DAY AGAIN AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
