Progress Checks

Clemes Progress Checks will be made available to parents on Thursday. While it is still very early in the year, it does provide teachers and students with an opportunity to address concerns at this vital stage. This will be followed by Parent/Teacher Learning Conferences on Wednesday 24 March. Please feel free to make an interview time with your child’s teacher.

TCE Theatre Performance Presents The Critic

By Gabriel Bergmoser

Set in Melbourne in the present day, this comedy turns a spotlight on the challenges of being a Theatre Critic in a world where everyone wants to know how fabulous they are.  What we say to your face might be different to what we say behind your back. But how do we really judge what makes good theatre? And does anyone really care? The Critic is a witty and sometimes ruthless examination of friendship, integrity, truth-telling, and the tension between being an artist and a critic of art - with a bit of swearing in between.

Running Time: 1 hour (No interval)

IBDP Theatre Excursion

On Wednesday 24 March the Year 11 IB Theatre class will visit the Theatre Royal and Hedberg in Campbell Street. The IB Theatre course asks students to undertake practical and imaginative explorations of staging theatre productions, and consider this creative work from the perspective of both actor and director. During our tour, we will learn about the history of our unique Theatre Royal and tour both the Main Stage and new Studio theatre spaces. This excursion will take place during class time.
