This award goes to Taoipu for being a kind and thoughtful member of our grade. He is always finding ways to help others and take care of our classroom. Taoipu is a superstar who always offers his help when his classmates are packing up or looking for a lost item. Taoipu, you are a such a great friend to all your classmates. Jackson R. - 1/2D

This week, Jackson has wholeheartedly encompassed the HEART value of excellence throughout all he has achieved. In reading, the class has begun thinking carefully about goals to become better readers. With the teacher, Jackson was able to create his goal of looking at the pictures to help solve tricky words, and confidently share this with the class. Congratulations Jackson – you should be proud of yourself. I look forward to seeing you grow as a reader!

Lucy E. - 1/2F

Lucy is receiving this award for always showing her HEART values. She consistently displays the value of Excellence by striving to achieve her personal best in everything she does. The 3/4C award goes to Lachy for the inspiring writing he has been doing in class. Lachy frequently chooses interesting words to use when writing such as ‘exclaimed’, ‘deafening’ and ‘unfortunately’. Lachy also uses good writing habits of making sure he re-reads his work so that it makes sense. Well done Lachy, I am so impressed with your writing skills!

Ella K. - 3/4E

Ella radiates positivity within our classroom each day by coming into school with a smile on her face and regularly lending a helping hand to others. When reading our ‘Caught Being Kind’ notes each Friday, Ella receives many notes from other students. This proves her to be an incredibly kind and supportive member of our class who practises showing her H.E.A.R.T and G.E.M values everyday. Keep shining Ella, we are so lucky to have you in 3/4E!

Ethan has been an enthusiastic learner during our PONT Maths sessions this week. Ethan has been able to explain the strategies he uses when making the largest number possible and is working with numbers involving hundreds of thousands. Well done, Ethan.

Emma is a wonderful role model in the class and school yard. She consistently contributes thoughtful ideas and tries her best. Emma is a caring student, often putting the needs of others ahead of her own and always lending a helping hand without needing to be asked. I am so proud of you Emma! This award goes to Will for the outstanding effort he has taken to complete his Narrative Writing this week. Will decided to write a story about Cherry Berry and how he went missing in the classroom. Will used talking marks and tried his hardest to write tricky words correctly. I am so proud of you Will and very excited that you are in 5/6M!

For the hardworking and positive attitude that he has been displaying in Maths this week. When learning about prime, composite, square and triangular numbers, Callum can confidently define each and provide examples. He also demonstrates an optimistic and encouraging attitude whilst playing maths games in class with his peers. Wonderful effort Callum. Keep up the great work!

Matthew B. - Performing Arts

Congratulations to Matthew for his excellent participation in our Performing Arts lessons. Your timing when playing the bass notes on the xylophone is brilliant. Well done!

Chloe Z. - Visual Arts

Students in 1/2 created art inspired by aboriginal ‘bush medicine’ art, in particular Gloria Petyarre’s work. Chloe used her painted paper to cut ivy shaped leaves and carefully layered them to create a flower design. She demonstrated precision and great care when painting her dots. Your creative ideas continually amaze me Chloe. Fantastic effort!
