Student of the Week Awards Presented 12/3/21

Mia D. - 00L

This award goes to Mia for showing the HEART value of Excellence. Mia is a wonderful helper in the classroom and is always careful to put things away in the correct spots. Mia also puts up her hand to point out letters and words she knows during our Reading lessons. Mia you are a superstar learner. I am very happy to have you in Foundation L.

Elouise J. - 00N

Elouise is to be congratulated on showing the GEM value Empathy. She is a very considerate student who always looks out for her friends. Congratulations Elouise we are all very proud of you. You are a Scoresby Superstar!

Shianne Z. - 1/2D

This week, Shianne has been showing all of the HEART and GEM values in everything she has done. I was particularly impressed with Shianne’s level of kindness when she showed her gratitude towards our school cleaner by writing a letter to her that said “Without you, our classroom would be a mess!”. I am proud to have someone as thoughtful as you in my class Shianne! Congratulations - you’re a star!

Alisha C. - 1/2F

Alisha is receiving this award for showing the HEART value Excellence. This week she has worked hard at monitoring her reading. Alisha is learning to notice when her reading stops making sense and is using a range of strategies to solve tricky words. Well done, Alisha! Keep up the great work!

 

Levy W. - 3/4C

The 3/4C award goes to Levy for his consistent display of kindness and respect when in the classroom and outside. Levy is always willing to help out members of our community and does it with a big smile on his face. He lifts up the spirit of 3/4C and is a very valued member of the class. Well done Levy!

Kabir N. - 3/4E

Kabir is receiving this award for showing great enthusiasm when contributing to class discussions and with his learning. He’s always willing to have a go at challenging tasks, tackling them with a smile on his face. Kabir shows his H.E.A.R.T values consistently, ensuring that each of his classmates feels valued and accepted. You’re a wonderful friend Kabir, we’re so lucky to have you in 3/4E!

Elena F. - 3/4S

Elena is congratulated on the inferences she made while she was reading her book this week. Elena was able to identify the clues from the book and used some information that she already knew to figure out what some of the sentences really meant. Elena, you are a reading superstar!

Parmiss N. - 5/6B

Parmiss is a kind member of 5/6B who consistently shows our school HEART values. You always produce your personal best work and have a smile on your face. I have been blown away with the effort you put into our wellbeing tasks. You are thoughtful and show an inspiring growth-mindset! You are a delight to have in the class.

This award goes to Cooper for the mature way he has settled into the senior school. Cooper takes on all set tasks with enthusiasm and it is so pleasing to see him have a go at completing his homework on our Google Classroom. I am so proud of you Cooper and very excited that you are in 5/6M !

For the consistent hardworking and positive attitude that Tali displays each day. Over the past two weeks, Tali has been the first person to complete any of their homework from 5/6W. He always completes all set tasks at school and for homework to a high standard and takes on feedback. Congratulations on a wonderful start to Year 5, Tali! Chloe Z. - Performing Arts

Congratulations to Chloe for her excellent participation in our Performing Arts lessons. You played all the notes of Twinkle Twinkle correctly and with very good timing. Well done!

Mia D. - Visual Arts

Mia designed a stunning, mixed media picture of a sunflower garden! She watched the demonstrations and listened carefully before practising different techniques in her art. Mia also used her observational skills by adding white and orange dots to her sunflower centres. Brilliant work Mia!
