Celebrate Mooroolbark with our Chinese Dragon

Celebrate Mooroolbark Festival

On Saturday, March 27, several of our Bimbadeen families braved the rainy weather to participate in the Celebrate Mooroolbark Festival.

Unlike previous years, there was no official parade, however, we were fortunate enough to be able to take our school Dragon puppet out for a walk through the centre of Mooroolbark and then perform a Dragon and Fan dance at Hookey park before the official Festival Welcoming Ceremony.

Fortunately, the rain held off during our Dragon walk and performance!

Congratulations and many thanks to those Bimbadeen families who represented our school on the day. Our talented students did a fantastic job of preparing for the Dragon and Fan Dancing performance. The Dragon puppet, fans and costumes created a real vibrancy and splash of colour in the centre of Mooroolbark, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

A big thank you to the Celebrate Mooroolbark Festival organisers, who helped to arrange our participation in the festival. Also, many thanks to Mrs. George, Mr. Laws and Mrs. Burt who lent a hand on the day. What a wonderful opportunity this was to celebrate being a part of the amazing community of Mooroolbark.
