Clean Up Australia Day

On Tuesday the 9th of March the YEP students and Miss Ottone went across to Mount Carberry to participate in Clean Up Australia day. Clean up Australia Day is a yearly initiative that is usually celebrated on the 7th of March, but our day of contribution was the 9th.

On the way to Mount Carberry, we noticed some rubbish along the way and picked it up using gloves and put it in plastic bins. When we arrived at Mount Carberry we were surprised and in shock with the amount of rubbish. At the end we had picked up 10 garbage bags of rubbish.

We are going to continue to focus on cleaning up the environment as part of our contribution to Community Engagement. 

Cleaning up Australia should be everyone’s responsibility, every day.
