A message from the Principal
I would like to say it has been a wonderful first five weeks as Principal of Kempsey High School. I want to thank the staff and students for making me feel welcome in your school Community . I also want to acknowledge the positive work completed by both Mr Rob Lyttle and Mr Duncan Kirkland in their time as Relieving Principals of Kempsey High. For those of you who are not aware of my background, prior to coming to Kempsey High as relieving principal I was Principal of Melville High for 3 and a bit years and prior to that Deputy Principal for 6 years and prior to that I was head Teacher Mathematics at Kempsey High School. Making my transition across the river a little easier. Although only relieving until an Executive Principal aligned with the Connected Community Strategy takes over, I am committed to ensuring the continuation of excellence in learning, and in continuing to strengthen the well being of students and staff at Kempsey High School.
It has certainly been a busy first five weeks with the open house, a great event organised by Ms Sue Marsh. This week we have had the Science and Engineering challenge which is a great showcase for our school supported by Kempsey West Rotary Club. Prior to that NAPLAN testing, Tell Them From Me surveys, cross-country carnival and this week is the athletics carnival.
