Summer Co-Curricular

Training sessions for all Term 4 Summer Co-Curricular will commence in Week 1, Term 4. Games will also commence in Week 1 with Volleyball and Water Polo on Friday night and Badminton, Cricket and Tennis on Saturday. It is an expectation that students who participated in a Summer sport during Term 1 continue to play that same sport in Term 4. The training schedule for Term 4 is attached. Fixtures are still being finalised and will be made available once complete. Information is accessible via SEQTA in the Co-Curricular section.

First XI Soccer State Knockout Grand Final

On Tuesday 26 September, Blackfriars competed in the First XI Soccer State Knockout Grand Final against Underdale High School. Blackfriars dominated the play but unfortunately, could not make it count on the scoreboard. The team were defeated 2 – 1. Goal scorer was Anyoun Kuol.

 

8/9 State 5-a-side Indoor Soccer Finals

On Wednesday 27 September, Blackfriars participated in the finals of the 8/9 Knockout 5-a-side Indoor Soccer Competition at Mars Sporting Complex. The group stage was a round robin format with each team in Pool A playing each other once. First and second place would qualify for the semi-finals before progressing to the final. The team were competitive and played well. They finished third in the competition. Well done to Luka Jovanovic, Hieu Nguyen, Matthew Jones, Ramzy Hussein, Asef Mohammadi, Julian Cornish, Adriano Caiazza, Jordan Saliba and Gil Hite.
