Senior School - Year 10 to 12

Meet your 2020 School Captains!

As school captains we’re really excited for this year.

All of us have been involved in the different leadership pathways our school offers including Peer Buddies, SRC, Teach the Teacher or the Interact Club.

From all of this, school captaincy is a realisation of a long-term goal. We are all keen to be involved in the SRC, where in collaboration with other members, we’ve been looking at how to improve areas in the DSC community such as Discovery, VCE and environmental sustainability.  We are of course open to student input, so please feel free to have a chat if you have an idea!

So far, we’ve all learnt a lot from being school captains, and certainly have grown from the challenges presented to us in some of our roles, such as public speaking to the entirety of senior school and managing the sales of the Valentine’s Day roses along with the SLT.

Yet despite the difficulties, Valentine’s Day and dressing up as cupids would definitely be one of the highlights of the year so far! Though we’re still fresh into 2020, we look forward to what comes next.

Our Year 12 Student of the Month is...

Congratulations to Lara H (12D) for being the February Year 12 Student of the Month!

Lara received the largest amount of positive Compass posts in February, which highlighted what a compassionate and thoughtful community member Lara is.

Well done Lara and I look forward to awarding the future March Student of the Month in a few weeks!
