We recently had our first-ever student represent DSC at an inter-school equestrian event. Congratulations to Finlay B (7C) on her fantastic effort on the day. Finlay had a great time and represented the school fabulously!

Care Packages for the Homeless -

DSC Student Initiative

On Wednesday, 4 March some of our Year 9 students demonstrated great maturity, empathy and initiative in making and delivering care packages for the homeless in Melbourne city.

Under the guidance of Mr Jack Trewella, students spent the morning putting together packages of donated goods, before heading into the city and giving them to people less fortunate.

Here are some reflections from the day:

Tate N (9C): “This experience has taught me that if you see someone on the street who is struggling, even a small gesture such as offering them a snack will change their day. It feels good to help people in need.”

Kylie L (9H): “This project has made me more aware of being kinder to others who are less fortunate. Seeing homeless people on the street in the freezing cold with no one doing anything to help made me realise how important it is to do something. It’s good to know that I’m a person who’s making a difference.”

Well done to our wonderful students who took the initiative to organise this project, using their hands, hearts and minds in the spirit of compassion.
