isea, icare
i Sea i Care ambassadors, Frazer, Tayla, Destiny and Angel, recently visited Warneet Boat Ramp at Warneet on Westernport Bay. They participated in a group rotation, where they learnt from field experts. The topics covered were, native frogs, how to identify individual dolphins and local indigenous history. They also did some gardening, removing Sallow Wattle, a native but not indigenous plant of the area.
The weather was superb, blue skies and sunshine and our ambassadors had a fantastic day. This was their last excursion with the i Sea i Care program and they all agree they have learnt a lot about sustaining our environment and particularly how to care for the marine environment.
Next term, they will assist with the application process and recruitment of the 2019 ambassadors.
